WARRINGTON’s Central Library, which has been closed for some time, will reopen its doors on Monday, February 9 after a £200,000 refurbishment.
The library will have new and improved spaces for children and young people, more comfortable areas for quiet study and reading, improved computer access and a generally more inviting environment.
The temporary library service which has been operating in the adjoining Warrington Museum while the work was carried out, will close its doors this Saturday, January 24.
Coun Roy Smith, (pictured) the borough council’s executive member for community services, said: “This investment in the library is great news for its many users and members and the refurbishment will make visiting the library a much more enjoyable experience.”
Members of Warrington Library are also entitled to use the mobile library or any of the other branch libraries across the borough.
