AN up and coming Warrington based indie band are setting their sights on conquering America after working with one of the music industry’s top producers.
Exile Parade are tipped to be the next big noise on the indie-music scene after performing at a string of gigs abroad and working with renowned producer Owen Morris.
The five-piece Warrington band is currently signed to a Dutch record company and their first single “Fire Walk With Me” has proved a hit in France, Holland and Scandinavia, as well as featuring on series one of popular TV teen drama Skins.
Support from the UK has also been evident as plays on XFM Scotland, BBC Manchester Music and 96.2 – The Revolution, have all played the band’s tracks.
Daniel Lomax, from Orford, Phil Hennessey, from Stockton Heath, Dave Hennessey, from Stockton Heath, Chris Owen, from Callands and Gary Mutch from Longbarn, make up the Exile Parade.
Influenced by The Sex Pistols, fellow Warringtonian Ian Brown and Primal Scream, amongst others, it isn’t hard to see why Exile Parade has an established fan base.
Owen Morris, who has worked with the likes of Oasis, The Verve and The View, said: “Recently I have been in Real World Studio with Exile Parade from Warrington. It was the best Rock and Roll I’ve had the honour and pleasure of being involved with since Oasis’ first album.”
Next on the agenda for the band is to get themselves established in America, having already airplay in the country that has seen them break into the top 100 of the active rock media base radio chart.
Staying true to their roots, Exile Parade will be performing at the Warrington Music Festival on July 12 and at music club WA1 on August 9.
