Town's tragedies to be remembered

0

A SPECIAL Warrington remembrance day will be held to mark recent tragedies in the town.
The Warrington Day of Prayer will give people from every faith the chance to remember and reflect on the impact of recent events in the town.
Tragedies such as the murders of Garry Newlove, Ryan Kelly, teenager Stuart Lowe and the 1993 IRA bombings which are all still fresh in the memories of Warrington residents
A “prayer trail” through the town will also be organised on the day, giving people the opportunity to stop off and reflect at any point.
Each hourly prayer will reflect a variety of different themes and anyone can join the trail at any point.
Warrington Day of Prayer takes place on June 17 from 8am to 8pm at St Elphin’s Church.
For more information about the day contact Rev Stephen Kingsnorth at [email protected]
