SKIN cancer is now the most common form of cancer among residents of
Warrington - and health chiefs are urging residents to be safe in the
sun.

WARRINGTON has one of the worst premature death rates in the country for
heart disease and strokes - ranking 15th out of 15 with similar
authorities - with health chiefs admitting more work needs to be done to
improve public health in the town.

WHEN we were children we took small steps, unsure and uncertain of our
abilities to walk, often stumbling, and sometimes hurting ourselves when
falling. But we got up and we persevered, and eventually we gained our
confidence and walked without effort and thought.
A MAJOR service at Warrington Hospital is to be moved to the new Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre.
COMMUNITY Healthcare chiefs serving the Warrington area have been re-appointed by the NHS Trust Development Authority.
A NEW organisation, Healthwatch Warrington, launches on Monday and will
enable local people to help shape health and social care services in the
town.

IT is now the time of year when we are looking forward to the arrival of
spring and the Easter holidays, which is a special time of year for
many different reasons.
A NEW group will have to make “tough decisions” on the provision of
health services in Warrington from April 1 within a limited £223 million
budget.
