WARRINGTON Wolves’ talisman Lee Briers is back in contention for Warrington’s “Big One 2” clash with table topping Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium on Friday night.
Briers and young forward Ben Harrison were both rested last weekend and are both back in contention for a clash seen by many as a title decider.
Briers played a key part when Warrington narrowly lost out to the warriors at the start of the season, with Warrington leading when he was forced to limp off with ankle ligament damage, with the Wolves eventually losing out by 20-22.
Warrington are set to be cheered on by a huge following with a near capacity crowd expected.
Should Wigan win they will open up a six point gap, putting them in pole position to finish top of the table, while victory for the Wolves will keep them in the hunt.
19-man squad:
11 Louis Anderson 27 Vinnie Anderson 23 Ryan Atkins 6 Lee Briers 10 Garreth Carvell 15 Jon Clarke 18 Mike Cooper 17 Simon Grix 13 Ben Harrison 5 Chris Hicks 3 Matt King 1 Richie Mathers 9 Michael Monaghan 8 Adrian Morley 7 Richie Myler 2 Chris Riley 26 David Solomona 12 Ben Westwood 16 Paul Wood
