Wolves' young guns shine

WARRINGTON Wolves’ young stars of the future were given a chance to shine as they ran out comfortable 12-34 winners at Workington Town.
Tries came from Alex Thompson, Matty Blythe, Mike Cooper, Scott Leatherbarrow, Craig Harvey, Rhys Williams and Rhys Evans with goals coming from Craig Harvey (1) and Gareth O’Brien (2).
Head Coach Tony Smith rested most of his first team squad ahead of Paul Wood’s testimonial game against Wigan on Wednesday evening, which will be the Wolves’ final run out before the start of Super League.
