LYMM’S own “Gareth Malone style” scratch choir,The Big Sing, formed for Lymm Festival in 2012 is set to take centre stage with BRIT award winner Beverly Craven.
Since then they have gone from strength to strength under the guidance of choir leader Susan Healey and her husband musical director Michael Healey.
BRIT award winning singer-songwriter Beverly Craven was so impressed with what she heard that she has agreed to come to Lymm to give a concert of her music and to share the stage for a short set with the choir in the second half of her show.
A few years after her monster hit “Promise Me” in the early 90s Beverley stepped out of the limelight to bring up a musical family of three daughters as well as winning a battle with breast cancer.
But last year she released her long awaited and much acclaimed fifth album- Change of Heart which was backed up with a 36 date national tour.
“This a real coup for the Big Sing and for the festival” explained the choir’s Business Manager Alan Williams.
Rehearsals will be starting soon for the gig which will be on Tuesday June 23 at Statham Lodge Hotel.
Any one who would like to find out more about how to join the choir and be part of a very special evening visit www.lymmbigsing.co.uk or call Tina Watmough on 07734 333525
