WORK is nearing completion on 80 new homes at Warrington which are to become available for affordable rent.
The £8.4 million development on Folly Lane, Bewsey, the development has been carried out by the Warrington-based Your Housing Group – one of the UK’s biggest housing associations.
A mix of 47 two and three bedroom houses and 33 one and two bedroom apartments, the development is close to local amenities including a shop, doctor’s surgery, and a number of local primary schools including Bewsey Lodge Primary and St Alban’s Catholic Primary.
The development has been built in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) who provided an £800,000 grant. The properties have been designed and built by Cheshire-based Mulbury Homes, specialists in developing affordable housing schemes for social landlords.
Stephen Haigh, executive director of growth and development at Your Housing Group said: “This lovely development enables us to offer much needed quality homes for affordable rent to local people in
Warrington. The range of properties available allows us to cater for people at different stages of life from single people, young couples and families through to those looking to downsize. This scheme is part of Your Housing Group’s £150m affordable homes programme which will deliver nearly 1,400 new homes across the region by the spring.”
Any local people interested in renting one of the properties on Folly Farm Close should contact the Your Housing Group sales team on 0845 618 5008 or visit www.yourhousinggroup.co.uk for more details.
