HEALTHWATCH Warrington will be out and about in the town in the run up to Valentine’s Day – speaking to people to hear about their experiences and ideas to “Get to the heart of health and social care”.
The local consumer champions for health and social care will be promoting news and consultations.
They have the power to enter and view adult health and social care services, offer a free independent advocacy service for those with NHS complaints, and collect views and experiences of local people about care, to work with partners to improve and develop services.
They will be collecting feedback and giving out small Valentine’s freebies and balloons at two locations: Warrington Bus Interchange, from 12 noon to 4pm tomorrow (Friday) and Cockhedge Shopping Centre, 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
A spokesman said: “These events will help us to give Warrington people a say in how health and social care services are delivered, to improve things that aren’t so good, and give decision makers a vital insight into the care needs and issues of your local community.
“To make this happen what we need most is the chance to hear from local people about their health and care experiences.”
