Fire crews tackle bedroom blaze

FIRE crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled a severe bedroom fire at a house in Hesnall Close, Glazebury near Warrington.
The flames spread to the roof of the detached house before the fire was brought under control.
Fire engines from Warrington and Birchwood were initially mobilised after the alarm was raised but on arrived crews requested two further appliances.
Another fire engine from Warrington and one from Newton-le-Willows were sent to the scene.
Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property, which measured about 15 metres by 15 metres.
No-one was hurt in the incident and no details have been given of the likely cause.
