A STRAY firework sparked off a Guy Fawkes’ night blaze at Warrington.
The fire involved fencing off Windermere Avenue, Orford and fire crews from Warrington Fire Station extinguished it with a hose reel jet.
It was the only fire reported in Warrington on the night – although of course many bonfire parties are being held this Saturday.
Earlier in the evening, a fire broke out in Bostock Street, Warrington.
Fire crews tackled the blaze – involving a wheelie bin – using a hose reel jet.
It is believed the fire was started deliberately and anyone with information about it is asked to call police on 101 or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111
