WARRINGTON and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking people with a keen interest in hospitals to stand for election as hospital governors.
As an NHS foundation trust, Warrington and Halton General hospital have public and staff governors who are elected and help guide the hospitals and their future strategy, holding the hospitals to account to local people.
As well as meeting as a council of governors every other month, the governors also sit on key committees in the hospitals, carry out unannounced ward quality and safety inspections and help the hospitals engage with the local community at events and through surveys and focus groups with patients.
