A SERIES of temporary road closures will come into force at Lymm on Monday, September 1st to enable Warrington Borough Council to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing on the A56 Higher Lane.
The work will be carried out on Higher Lane from its junction with Rectory Lane to its junction with Grammar School Road.
But the closures will also affect Crouchley Lane, Manor Road and The Crescent, each for 50 metres from their junctions with Higher Lane.
It is expected the work will take four weeks, but it is anticipated that the closures will only be in operations between 9.30am and 3.30pm when signs are in place on site.
Access to properties along the route will be under the control of the contractor.
An alternative route for Higher Lane will be via A50 Knutsford Road, A50 Cliffe Lane, B5159 West Lane, B5159 High Legh Road and vice versa.
