Getting active never been easier

GETTING active in Warrington has never been easier thanks to a new guide which is packed with healthy walks, running and cycling routes.
The borough council and Change4Life, along with partners, have brought all of the information on organised walks and outdoor activities in Warrington together in one place.
From one-hour health walks to cycling sessions and running clubs, there is something for everyone.
Cllr Pat Wright, the council’s lead member for health, wellbeing and adult services said: “Being active helps us to lead healthier and happier lives, which is why this guide is so important for everyone living in Warrington. Building activity into your day keeps your heart healthy, reduces your risk of long term health problems and can improve low mood and feelings of anxiety.
“By using the guide you can feel stronger, fitter and more energetic. Best of all you can build up your activity levels at a rate to suit you – the booklet contains activities to suit all ages and abilities, and will go ahead whatever the weather! I would encourage everyone to have a look at what we have on offer in Warrington – it could change your life.”
