Mystery fire threatens flat

AN investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire which threatened to engulf a flat at Warrington early today.
The blaze was in Dudley Street, Warrington and involved a wheelie bin which had been placed against the flat.
Two fire engines from Warrington Fire Station were involved in the operation and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from inside the property – which was unoccupied at the time.
A fire investigation has started to try and establish how the fire started.
