Golden fund-raisers

STAFF at Golden Square Shopping Centre, Warrington are celebrating after a successful fundraising effort for local charity St Rocco’s Hospice.
Taking part in the annual Starlight Walk, staff from the Centre took to Warrington’s streets at midnight to raise over £700 for the cancer support charity.
Ian Cox, General Manager at Golden Square, said: “The money that the ladies from Golden Square have managed to raise so far is fantastic. At Golden Square we have a real dedication to the wider community, which is why we absolutely jumped at the chance to officially partner with St Rocco’s till the end of 2015.”
As part of their ongoing commitment, the team at Golden Square will be taking part in numerous fund raising activities in the coming months, including the Dragon Boat race taking place on Sunday 3rd August at Warrington Rowing Club.
St Rocco’s Hospice has been running for almost 30 years, and it provides specialist care for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. With an outstanding reputation throughout Warrington and the North West – the partnership will see Warrington’s main shopping centre supporting St.Rocco’s fundraising efforts over the next 18 months.
