Man attacked by gang of three

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for witnesses following an attack on a man in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 29-year-man was attacked by three men as he walked through Brickfield Park, Warrington, at approximately 1.48am.
He was walking through the park in the direction of Tesco Extra when he was approached by three men who asked him to buy something for them. When the victim refused they then began attacking him.
The victim was punched and kicked several times, before being hit over the head with a bottle of beer as he lay on the ground. The offenders then left the park and ran off across Orford Lane in the direction of St Peters Way.
The victim was taken to Warrington General where he received stitches for cuts on his head.
Anyone with any information relating to the attack is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or alternatively information can be reported anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
