Kitchen fire in apartment

FIRE crews were called out at Warrington after a blaze was reported in the kitchen of a first floor apartment.
The fire was in Knutsford Road, Latchford, and crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath fire stations were called to the scene.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames and a ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the premises. No-one was hurt.
Firefighters were also called to Sankey Valley Park, off Cromwell Avenue, Callands where a hedge – part of a maze – was discovered ablaze.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
