GOLDEN Gates Housing Trust has committed a further £15,000 to its community fund.
Now in its fourth year, the fund is open to individuals, resident and community groups, charitable organisations and social enterprises working in and around areas where GGHT has homes.
In 2013/14 GGHT awarded funding to 62 groups, supporting projects which have included arts, dance and drama groups, equipment for community facilities, safety projects, community fun days, sports clubs and activities for both older and young people.
The Hand On Heart charity received £500 to part fund a defibrillator to be placed in a Warrington school.
Anne Jones, Headteacher at Woolston CE Primary School, said: “We are very grateful for the donation of a defibrillator for our school. We hope we never have to use it but realise that if the situation arose it could help us to save somebody’s life. Thank you again to GGHT for their very kind donation.”
