Motorcyclist loses fight for life

A 25-year-old motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a collision in Warrington last week sadly died over the weekend.
The man, named locally as Michael Murray, had been riding an Aprilla motorcycle when he was in collision with a Black Ford Focus at the junction of Poplars Avenue and Martin Avenue.
The collision occurred shortly before 6pm on Wednesday 9 April 2014.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to hospital by air ambulance but died on Saturday 12 April.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision itself, or have any information to contact police.
Anyone with information should contact Warrington Police on the police non emergency number, 101, quoting incident number 689 of 9 April 2014.
