Healthwatch is failing says MP

HEALTHWATCH Warrington is failing to link with the public or to represent patients, an MP has claimed.
Warrington North MP Helen Jones said: “Despite promises made about engaging with the community and organising events, the local Healthwatch
is clearly not working for patients and their families.
“Its website shows only one survey from last year and when you search for upcoming events there are none shown. The video on their site is about LINk, an organisation which no longer exists, and the documents available say nothing about Healthwatch Warrington.
“ Minutes of their meetings are not published either.”
Ms Jones said it was revealing that when Healthwatch attended a local parish council meeting they knew nothing about the difficulties people were having getting GP appointments in that area.
“They are not in touch and are not representing local people’s concerns.
“This organisation is failing and needs a complete shake-up.”
