A WARRINGTON post office is to offer a range of new services and have longer opening hours after being given a “new look.”
Oakwood Post Office will be come one of the Post Office’s “new look” branches following a local consultation.
The news has been welcomed by Warrington North MP Helen Jones.
She said: “The Post Office tell me that the responses they received indicated that the branch is conveniently located and that the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. That won’t change.
“However, there will be an increase in opening hours which will greatly benefit customers.
“In areas where the new look branches are already operating, customers have been pleased with the services offered, particularly the longer opening hours. People can choose to visit at times to suit their lifestyle and by spreading customer visits throughout the day waiting times are reduced. I am sure this will be the case at the new look Oakwood Post Office.”
The new look Post Office will open at its existing location on Thursday March 13 at 1pm. When the new branch opens customers will benefit from longer opening hours, Monday to Friday, 6.30am – 10pm
Saturday,7am to 10pm, Sunday 8am to 10pm.
