Lymm Runners celebrate century milestone

LYMM Runners is celebrating after its membership reached 100, four years after it was first set up.
The club – the village’s only running club – was set up in February 2010 and since then has grown to the point where it now runs five sessions a week led by UKA qualified Run Leaders.
It also co-organises the annual High Legh 10k, runs beginners courses, organises the Lymm Festival Trail Races, is part of the North West Cross Country League and is affiliated to England Athletics.
Chris Lees, Captain of Lymm Runners, said: “This club is special because of the members; we have a friendly welcoming ethos with a passion for a well organised run club that salutes the success of all athletes at all levels.
“We have members who run for fitness, some for pushing their PB’s, some on the trail others on the road and some who like a long long run for several hours or more!
“It has been a brilliant four years and we look forward to watching the club grow in the next few years.”
Lymm Runners meets outside Lymm Leisure centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm, Sundays at 8am & 9am and also outside Lymm Library on Wednesdays at 9.15am.
