WARRINGTON Town, missing five regulars through injury and suspension, earned a valuable away point with a 1-1 draw at
Kendal Town despite being reduced to 10 men following the sending off of
Skipper Craig Robinson.
A Liam Dawson (pictured right) goal just before the break gave Warrington the lead but the home side equalised through a hotly disputed penalty on 52 minutes through Danny Mitchley.
Centre half Jay McCarten cleanly got the ball tackling in the box but was adjudged to have fouled the Kendal attacker, who went down with ease.
Mitchley gratefully blasted the ball home giving keeper Josh Cook no chance.
Skipper Craig Robinson saw red on 69 minutes for a second bookable offence but Warrington manfully held on for a valuable away point at 4th placed Kendal, to stay third in the table.
Next up for Town is a trip to Salford on Saturday, followed by the visit of Cammell Laird to the HG Driver Recruitment Stadium next Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm.
