Wolves squad for Cup semi

WARRINGTON Wolves will be bidding for their fourth Wembley cup final in five years as they go up against Hull FC on Sunday evening aiming to book their place in this year’s Tetley’s Challenge Cup final.
Wolves’ boss Tony Smith has a near full strength squad with only centre Ryan Atkins injured on the sidelines, as they face a Hull outfit on the receiving end of five straight league defeats.
But Smith is taking nothing for granted, especially after Hull surprised many with their quarter-final victory in France.
The sides have met twice in the Super League this season, winning one game apiece. The Wolves go in off the back of a win over the other Humberside team Hull KR last weekend but Hull FC suffered defeat at the hands of Bradford.
Smith brings Simon Grix, Adrian Morley, Richie Myler and Ben Westwood back into the 19-man squad for this weekend.
On Sunday’s opponents Tony said: “They’re the last team to defeat us on our ground and it was a terrific game of Rugby League. They are a capable team and we’ve got a healthy respect for them. They’ve got some terrific outside backs, big strong young men who can score tries, a good half-back combination and a tough pack of forwards.
“They are very, very good opposition for this week, a good challenge for us but hopefully, if we can play the way we like to play and to the degree we like to play at, we’ll make a good match of it.”
