WARRINGTON’S six children’s homes have all received glowing reports from watchdog agency Ofsted – the Office for Standards in Education.
Three have been judged to be “outstanding” – meaning they provide a service of exceptional quality that significantly exceeds minimum requirements.
The other three had been ranked as “good” – meaning they provide a service of high quality that exceeds minimum requirements.
All six were subjected to two-day unannounced inspections during the last six months and to one-day “interim” inspections during January and February last year when all were graded as “making good progress.”
Each home was visited by one inspector – and the same inspector then registered and inspected all the homes to provide consistency.
The inspections covered five areas – outcomes for children, quality of care, staying safe, leadership and management and overall effectiveness. Each homes has a unique reference number allowing its postal address to remain undisclosed.
