FOLLOWING an unprecedented demand for tickets Warrington Town are predicting a sell out crowd for next Friday’s historic FA Cup 1st Round clash with Exeter City.
The League Two outfit have taken their full allocation of 375 tickets, 15 per cent of the 2,500 capacity, for the game which is being screened live on BBC 2 next Friday, November 7, kick off 19.55pm.
As well as being Warrington’s first ever game in the 1st round proper, following their amazing five qualifying rounds and seven game unbeaten run in the competition, including beating three teams from higher divisions, it is also the BBC’s first live game in the world famous competition since 2008.
Warrington have been overwhelmed with ticket requests through social networks, email and phone.
Chairman Toby Macormac (pictured left) said: “The demand for tickets has been unprecedented and we are predicting a sell out crowd. The game is a real David v Goliath and typifies the magic of the FA Cup.
“It will put football well and truly on the map in Warrington and give us something to build on for the future.”
Tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and Vice Presidents from 10am-12 noon on Monday (Nov 3) and then on general sale.
No tickets can be reserved but there is no limit on the numbers which can be purchased – within reason.
Tickets are priced £15 (adults) £10 (Concessions over 60s) and £5 (Under 16s) and are only available via cash sales directly from the ground on Monday.
