FOUR teams from Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School took part in the Cheshire Indoor Rowing Championships – and three won medals.
The competition was held at Birchwood High School and involved more than 30 schools. Boteler were the only Warrington school to place in a medal position.
The Year 8 Boys relay team took 2nd place, the Year 8 Girls relay took a 3rd place and the Year 9 Girls relay team also took a 3rd place.
Eliza Fox finished in a strong position and has gained a place at the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships at the Copper Box Arena in London on February 28 – a fabulous achievement.
There was also a narrowly missed individual success with Lewis Johnson (Year 8) finishing 4th overall.
