THE 14th Creamfields music festival to be held at Daresbury, near Warrington got under way last night (Thursday) and about 70,000 fans are expected to attend over the four-day event.
Cheshire police are mounting a major operation to ensure the festival can be enjoyed safety by all.
Officers will be on duty throughout the festival to prevent disorder and, as would be expected, they will be searching people for weapons and drugs.
The advice to fans is: Don’t bring them in – you will be caught.”
But there is also a lengthy list of other items that cannot be taken into the festival ground.
These include: Deodorant, air horns, Chinese lanterns, flag poles, food, laser pens, masks or other face garments, sound systems, drones and large umbrellas.
Among the acts performing will be Calvin Harris, Chemical Brothers and Swedish House.
