Fire breaks out in ward at Warrington Hospital

SIX people were evacuated from a ward at Warrington Hospital, in Lovely Lane, early today after fire broke out.
Three fire engines from Warrington and Penketh were called to the incident shortly before 3am.
The fire involved a mattress but was out by the time crews reached the scene. They used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the building.
There are no reports of anyone being harmed as a result of the blaze.
