New bus route launched for Penketh High School

1

LOCAL bus company Network Warrington will be introducing buses to and from Penketh High School every 30 minutes starting from September.

Buses 14 and 15 are adapting their routes in time for the new academic year to ensure students can catch the bus directly to Penketh High.

These route changes also apply to evening and weekend services to ensure that students who take part in extra-curricular activities are also covered.

Operations Director at Network Warrington, David Blainey, said: “By slightly altering the bus routes to Penketh High we are continuing to serve our current passengers, as well as expanding our service to support students to travel around the borough without having to rely on the ‘Mum and Dad taxi service’.

“We’re committed to offering high quality and affordable travel to the people of Warrington and we’re pleased that our discounted student Touch and Go cards are available for an annual fee which entitles them to unlimited travel on any day, at any time.

“We are hopeful that the student Touch and Go cards, alongside the route changes to Penketh High, make for a winning combination that will save both time and money for many of Warrington’s young people and their families.”

  1. This is lovely for the students of penketh high, what about the students of Great Sankey High that have had a bus taken off them both morning and night. They have no option of extra buses being laid on. As parents we had to get a private firm to pick the children up and bring them home.
