THE flag on Warrington Town Hall is flying at half-mast today and a minute’s silence will be observed on the Town Hall steps at 2.30pm as a mark of respect for those affected by the Westminster terror attack.
Flags are at half mast at the Bridge Foot War Memorial and at Stockton Heath Police Station
The Mayor, Cllr Faisal Rashid has expressed condolences for the victims of the attack in London.
He said: “This senseless attack is an attack on all of us and everything we stand for. I am sure I speak on behalf of all of the people of Warrington in sending our thoughts and prayers to all those whose lives have been affected by this atrocity.
“This week we commemorated 24 years since the IRA bombing in Warrington, remembering those who lost their lives and drawing strength from the response of our communities that followed.
“Our own experience shows that by standing and working together we will always be stronger than those who attempt to undermine our democratic values and principles.”
