PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for a cafe within the grounds of the Woolston Learning Village.
The development will involve conversion of an existing bungalow formerly used as a caretaker’s residence.
Members of the borough council’s development management committee approved the plan – put forward by the council itself – after hearing the cafe would be open only during school hours and would provide a service only to staff working at the Learning Village.
It will be operated by students – providing them with a new learning/working environment.
Woolston Learning Village, an £18 million development, consists of the former Fox Wood and Green Lane special schools and a 16-plus college and caters for children with special educational needs aged 4-18.
