AN investigation is under way to determine the cause of a car fire which caused damage to a nearby house at Warrington.
The blaze involved a car on the driveway of the house in Trefoil Close, Birchwood last night and flames spread to the house.
Two fire engines from Birchwood and Warrington went to the scene and crews used two hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.
There were no reports of injuries.
In another incident last night, firefighters from Birchwood went to the Taylor Industrial Estate at Culcheth where there was a grass fire, believed to have been started by arsonists.
Crews used water backpacks to extinguish the blaze.
