Fire crews tackle kitchen blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze in the kitchen at a house at Appleton, Warrington, early today.
The blaze was a property in Burfield Drive and was caused by an unattended cooker.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and a ventilation unit brought in to clear smoke from the property. No-one was hurt.
Two fire engines from Warrington were called to the scene.
