BUS company Network Warrington has opened an Approved Test Facility (ATF) for PCV and HGV vehicles.
It has converted its existing DP (designated premises) into an ATF centre from October 1.
The company has a long history of operating a testing centre where VOSA staff test both the company’s own buses and vehicles of other operators.
The test fees involved offer a significant income to the company. The conversion to an ATF facility is the latest step to expand this area of business which helps pay for the building and associated overheads.
Damian Graham, engineering director, said: “The conversion from a DP to an ATF testing facility will provide a better service to our customers and give us the opportunity and flexibility to increase capacity during peak demands for vehicle testing.”
