The Old School Project is inviting families to a new pilot preschool group, supported by Warrington Charities Trust.
Designed for parents, carers, and children aged 0–4 years, the preschool group will provide a relaxed and welcoming environment where young children can play, explore, and socialise while families build connections within their local community.
Taking place on Tuesday 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th July, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at The Old School Project on Fairfield Street, the sessions will offer a variety of engaging play opportunities tailored to young children’s interests and stages of development.
Each session will include:
- Tea, coffee, and toast available for adults and children.
- Free play with a range of age-appropriate toys.
- Different play stations each week, which may include small world play, construction, messy play, creative activities, sensory play, mark-making, role play, and loose parts play.
- Opportunities for children to explore at their own pace while parents and carers connect with others.
- A short tidy-up and goodbye routine at the end of each session.
The focus of the group is on play, imagination, social development, and building community connections rather than formal learning activities. The sessions aim to create a safe and supportive space where children can develop confidence through play and families can enjoy spending time together in a friendly setting.
Emma Brown, The Old School Project’s Manager said: “We want every family to feel welcome at The Old School. Our preschool sessions provide a friendly space where children can play, explore and make friends, while parents and carers can relax, connect and feel part of their local community.”
