POLICE in Warrington are appealing for witnesses after a child was seriously injured in a collision with an E-bike at Orford.

At around 2.40pm today, Wednesday 17 June, police were called to Long Lane, Orford, following reports that an E-bike had collided with a child.

The child, a 12-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries and remains in a critical condition in hospital at this time.

The rider of the E-bike did not stop and left the scene.

As part of enquiries into the incident, police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it.

DS Russ Sime said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch with us. This occurred at a busy time of day when there would have been a lot of traffic and footfall in the area.

“The same goes for anyone with any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident.

“You can report information to us by calling 101 or you can visit our website www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML-2352667.”
