Residents and staff at Westvale House care home in Old Hall recently came together to celebrate a very special milestone as resident Jim Bowden marked his 101st birthday surrounded by family, friends and plenty of cake.
The celebrations filled his room with decorations, music and most importantly for Jim, cake.
Staff worked hard to make the day extra memorable with everyone joining in to celebrate the remarkable occasion.
Westvale House Manager, Sarah Jones, said: “Celebrating a 101st birthday is such a wonderful occasion for everyone at Westvale House”.
“It was a privilege to see Jim surrounded by so much love and happiness”.
The team at Westvale House said the event brought everyone together and highlighted the strong sense of community within the home and they are looking forward to the next 101st birthday in a few days.
