THE grounds of Walton Hall & Gardens in Warrington were a sea of red and white as participants, decked out in full Santa suits, took part in the annual Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) Santa Dash.
Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Mo. Hussian was on hand to start the festive 3km event, held to raise vital funds for the local charity, welcomed people of all ages and abilities to walk, jog, run, push, or even cycle the scenic route.

“It’s fantastic to see so many people come out and support WDP,” said WDOP CEO and founder Dave Thompson. “Every participant is making a real difference, and the atmosphere here is just brilliant. It’s the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season”.
Accessible Fun for Everyone
A key highlight of the event is its commitment to accessibility, allowing everyone in the community to participate. The entry fee of £12 per person included a five-piece Santa suit, a certificate, and a medal upon completion. The charity also hosted its accessible Santa’s Grotto at Walton Hall & Gardens on the same day and throughout December, further enhancing the festive offerings for local families.
Funds raised from the Santa Dash go directly towards supporting the services provided by Warrington Disability Partnership, a charity dedicated to helping local people with disabilities and their families.
