A prolific shoplifter from Warrington who went on a spree stealing high-value goods worth thousands of pounds from stores has appeared in court.
Officers from the Warrington Central Beat team charged the prolific shoplifter, who has gone on to plead guilty to seven high-value thefts.
Edward Warde targeted tool/DIY stores throughout Cheshire between August and November this year which resulted in thousands of pounds worth of goods being stolen.
Warde thought that wearing a disguise of a cap and glasses was enough to stop police from identifying him for the offences, but he was wrong.
Appearing in court, the 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the theft offences and has been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing on Tuesday, 23 December.
