MAYOR of Warrington Cllr. Mo Hussain has congratulated Cadet Sergeant Max Anderson, who has been formally recognised by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire for his outstanding service and commitment to the Army Cadet Force.

Max, who has been a dedicated cadet with the Warrington Detachment for four and a half years, received the honour in an official ceremony this week. He has been serving as the Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet since September 2025, a highly prestigious appointment that continues until August 2026. This role is awarded to only a select number of exceptional youngsters who demonstrate leadership, discipline, and exemplary service to their community.

The Mayor praised Max’s achievements, saying: “Max has made Warrington incredibly proud. His commitment, maturity, and passion for service represent the very best of our young people. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Max and to all our cadets, who continue to serve our community with dedication and pride.”

Speaking after receiving his award, Cadet Sergeant Max Anderson said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised by the Lord Lieutenant. Being a cadet has given me so many opportunities to learn, grow, and serve. I’m proud to represent Warrington and the Army Cadet Force, and I’m grateful for the support of my instructors, fellow cadets, and my family.”

The Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet appointment is one of the highest honours a cadet can receive, recognising young people who have gone above and beyond in their duties.

The Mayor also extended thanks to the Army Cadet Force volunteers and leaders who continue to guide and inspire Warrington’s young people.
