A 60-year-old man has been released under investigation following an alleged firearm incident at Stockton Heath on Wednesday, November 5th.
The 60-year-old man was arrested following reports of a man with a firearm in a garden at Stockton Heath.
A large police presence, including armed officers, was seen in the village.
Following the incident a Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 7.30 pm on Wednesday 5 November, police were called to reports of a man in possession of a firearm in the garden of an address on Fairfield Road, Stockton Heath.
“Local officers, supported by firearms officers, were deployed to the scene and a 60-year-old local man was arrested in relation to the incident.”
The man was held in custody at the time on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
