Royal procession for the Jubilee

A “ROYAL” procession of princes and princesses celebrated the Diamond Jubilee at Lymm Dam.
Nearly 30 boys and girls from St Mary’s Pre-school made crowns and flags for the occasion and then walked in procession through the woods in search of royal emblems in a treasure hunt.
Afterwards they feasted on a picnic fit for a monarch.
The event marked the start of a week-long programme of activities at the pre-school to celebrate the Jubilee.
Supervisor Lynn Smith said: “The children had a wonderful time, learning a lot about the Jubilee, enjoying the craft activities, dressing up and having an adventure in the woods.
“We are very fortunate to have such a great facility with Lymm Dam right on our doorstep. And due to the generous donations from all the parents, we will be able to purchase a commemorative bench for our outside garden, which will remind us of this special week here at the pre-school.”
