POLICE have issued a warning after reports of parked cars being targeted by offenders at Great Sankey, Callands and Burtonwood, overnight.
Several cars have been entered with items, including bank cards being stolen.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “If you are aware of any attempts in your community of thieves trying car doors/ entering vehicles, can you please check your CCTV/ Doorbell cameras for any footage and let us know please?”
How to Protect Your Car
Lock all doors and windows.
After locking, ensure all doors and windows are securely locked.
Keep your keys safe and out of sight. Don’t leave them in the car, and be wary of electronic key vulnerabilities, such as signal capture.
Park in well-lit areas with CCTV or in a garage when possible.
Steering wheel locks, tyre locks, or an in-car alarm system can deter thieves.
