Minister for Early Education visits school’s newly refurbished nursery

MINISTER for Early Education Stephen Morgan dropped in at Cinnamon Brow Primary School, Warrington to see for himself its newly refurbished nursery and to flag up a start-of-the-new term boost for working parents.

He said the government had delivered a boost for families by investing more to cover the cost of 30 hours of childcare fees in term time and school holidays.
Parents using the 30 hours could save up to £7,500 a year, which could be better spent on quality family time, he said.
It comes as a massive save for parents who have been struggling with the cost-of-living pressure.
Mr Morgan urged families to apply within the next three days, or risk losing out on this generational offer from this September.
They could do this through the local authority or via the childcarechoices.gov.uk website
The scheme which covers children from nine months until reception will support more children to be school-ready and set them up to achieve better results in school.
Cinnamon Brow Primary head Rachel Pimblett said she was delighted the minister had visited to see the newly refurbished nursery, which had been transformed from an old mobile classroom into a beautiful nursery and which would enable local parents to bring their children to one drop-off point from when they were babies to when they were aged 11.
She welcomed the increased government investment in childcare costs.
