Discarded cigarette believed to have started fire in wooded area

A discarded cigarette is believed to have started a fire in a wooded area at Appleton, Warrington.

At 09:38 today (Tuesday) crews from Warrington and Lymm were called to reports of a fire in a wooded area off Dudlow Green Road, Appleton.

Firefighters extinguished the small fire in a wooded area which is believed to have been caused by improperly discarded smoking materials.
