THE combination of vibrant community spirit, festive pageantry, and the relentless sun made for a vivid celebration at the annual Stockton Heath Walking Day.
Children in traditional dress, religious banners, music, and floats created a lively procession through the heart of Stockton Heath.
Despite the heat, the event retained its warmth of community, with public attendance undeterred by temperatures in the high 20s to low 30s °C.

The traditional Walking Day featured church groups, children, and local organisations processing through village streets, accompanied by marching bands including Warrington Pipers.
Spectators handed out coins to walkers, especially children, one of the cherished rituals of local walking days.
Temperatures were around 30°C (86°F) with intense heat peaking during the early afternoon parade, fully sun-drenched with no clouds to offer reprieve.
