LOCAL Lib Dems have selected Diane Taylor as their candidate for Stockton Heath Parish Council at the by-election to be held on July 31st.
She is a local resident of South Warrington and retired civil servant with a great community spirit.
Diane said: “Since retiring, I’ve thrown myself into supporting our community by organising events, raising money for local causes, and saying “yes” to anything that helps make our villages better, kinder, and more connected. You may have seen me recently behind the counter of our family run mobile coffee van at the Stockton Heath Festival, serving hot drinks and chatting with people. What better way to hear what matters to people than over a good cup of coffee?”
Diane is standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate because she cares deeply about Stockton Heath and the people who live here. Diane says “I want to help shape and protect our environment and green spaces for future generations. I want to ensure that a new recycling centre does get built in South Warrington and to improve the centre of the village, which is looking a bit run down at the moment. I believe local politics should be about listening, taking action, and keeping things down-to-earth. No fuss—just community, kindness, and getting things done. I look forward to working with residents and businesses to make a difference to the village.”
