THE Raven Inn at Glazebury, Warrington, is looking forward to welcoming members of the community throughout December.
Spokesperson Peter Sturman commented: “As we approach our second Christmas at the Raven we are geared up for a number of community focused events.
“We intend to build upon a successful festive period, last year, and make this Christmas even more community focused.
“We kick off the month with our Christmas Fair on December 1st in the space above the Raven. This will be concluded with the turning on of our Christmas tree lights.
“There will be a community brass band, playing under the Christmas tree at 6.30pm on Thursday 5th December, thanks to Cromptons opticians, Culcheth.
“Santa is visiting the Raven on the 14th of December.
“We have a special pre-Christmas menu throughout December and our Christmas lunch / dinner is proving so popular we will be holding two sittings.
“We have learned a lot from our first Christmas and have included a lot of community centred events this year.
Peter, who was actively involved in the campaign to save the community pub from demolition, says the Raven is always a friendly inviting place.
“This time of year, when it is cold and dark outside, the ambiance, our excellent staff, superb menu and (of course) the roaring log fire, all make it the must go to place.
“We look forward to welcoming patrons old and new, during December”.
